Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

For those of you that know my story:
My local commissioner was NOT re-elected! I guess the majority of voters don't want a criminal for a commissioner...
Finally, some good election news.

Just watch your back. Now that he is unemployed he will look for someone to blame.

We have our entire parimeter under some type of survalence. Either motion or video. I cannot take chances with a gun wielding lunatic. Since his conviction, he has kept his distance. And now luckily he holds no position of authority.

Our Co-op came through and plowed up our field this morning. It was right during the normal free range time for the girls so I didn't let them out at that time. I think my dog Belle was the one most upset with that idea. Anyways, we had the blacksmith coming in this afternoon anyways, so once that big John Deere was out of the field I tossed the girls out for some free ranging time. You would have thought they would have made a beeline for all that fresh loose dirt, but I don't think they touched it at all. After a few horses, I went and got Belle to round up the girls. Made for a happy dog.

  I do believe he's and EE...I have an EE roo just like him.  There are a lot of people selling EEs and calling them other breeds.

You'll want to check out this link for the differences between Amerucana, EE, and Araucanas....

Funny you say that..I was thinking the same thing, EE. Blackie, one of my adopted EE roos looks just like him, too. Bigboy, my roo, is also an EE &'looks similar with less black. I will say, I LOVE the temperament of them...

My guy a few months ago...he's matured much like yours. Will need a newer picture!

@JackieandChicks
Oh, yeah I'm am sure both boys could be twins, cuz that's just what Blackie looked like as a young 'un! He is now at a new home & happy as can be. Such a good boy...I simply have too few girls to have more than one boy! I think he was adopted within 3 hours of me posting his pic!

Townline Hatchery? It seems like a group of boys got thorough their feather sexing this year ;) And I know part of their bloodlines...I have two light Brahamas that could be his sister except for the beard/muffs and green legs!

Nope. TSC (well, unless they get them from Townline!). Mine are from March of 2013. I bought 4 straight run EE chicks &'went 50/50. One of the girls, my baby girl Spazzie (avatar) died this past May :(. Not sure what was wrong, she never did lay an egg before she died at 14 months old. Funny thing was that 3 out of the 4 have that B&W coloring (which I guess is somewhat unusual for girls).
