Sure is a gloomy morning. Light rain falling making working outside a pain but I still need to finish covering the chicken's run. Hopefully it won't take to long because with the warmer temperatures for the next two days I need to butcher the big doe I shot Friday night.
While I have cleared quite a lot of the fallen timber from our woods, the area where the deer showed up hasn't been worked on yet. Since the shot was about 90 yards I opted for a shoulder rather than a neck shot. So instead of dropping instantly she went another 20 yards into the thicker deadfalls. By the time I had drag her over, around, and thru that tangled mess I was one tired old man. Sure made me aware that I may have to quit hunting alone.
