Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

1mutt - candled today. 8 definitely have embryos, 4 I can't see through the shell, 5 clear, including 2 cl and miss JO. Eric from your paper is coming tomorrow, not sure how he heard.

My surprise this morning was the duckies doing their "duck business" in the water dish. What's surprising is we thought we had two females.

With the sun, warmth and wind about a third of the back field is clear tonight. Not so much up by the house but there is ground showing. I'm Headed outside after dinner to enjoy the warmth, sun and real dirt. I also have lots of cleaning to do and dh has parked the tractor and bucket next to the coop for me.

Yay! I guess the Orp's petticoats are a little to full for the little guy. Looking foreward to next week's paper :D

Nice double barring on that rooster, Jackie. Did you ever read the chronicles of Barbara, written by Mrs Chickendad?

Lost my 3 Ameraucana this winter, they were not even a year old and had never laid even one egg between them. Would anyone in the Thumb area maybe have a couple or 3 blue/green egg laying older chicks/pullets available this Spring? I would be so grateful, thank you
