Anyone here know if i can pit my ducklings outside for a little bit in an enclosed large dog cage(the wire cages, with the bottom out) to play in the grass? I got them sunday and were told at tsc they are over a week old, but these peepers are huge!!!!
They are by a 9x13" tin i put their water bowl in. (Heat lamp is off, i blew a fuse and cant get to fuse box, got 3 cortison shots in my heel and cant walk.. My body feels well older than my 26 years)

should work, as long as they're too big to fit though the holes in the cage. I've used a large dog playpen to have my chicks out on grass when they were big enough.

@justplainbatty I did hear that you have to get there at the crack of dawn to have any chance at good birds. Hopefully I can make it to the next one. I wanted to look at ducks! Hopefully Dottie pulls through!

Yah, I probably should have gotten there at 7. Dottie is hanging in there, I just ordered baytril and metronidazole for her, priority mail.

the amish got a bunch of birds in the mail when i got my gff shipment...and they had issues with birds dieing...(inside scoop) not sure what happened with the birds if they were refunded but i believe the birds came from townline.

i dont think it was a flop the swap....just when i got there the selection was pretty beat up....and im sure there was alot nicer birds before 9am that were there...also its cool on that last pic....cause if you look on the few i posted from the show...those birds where in one of the pics...from what i was told buy the old vp of the mbgba there was 76 sellers there and that was a good turnout for them in imlay...next swap i will have to get there super early....so i can see the nicer stock...seems like they sell out really quick....anyways have a great day everyone...

Starbright has silkies,Cochin's, orloffs, rir
Ducks geese and I'm thinking she got some pigeons. Not sure what all she has. But she has great lil set ups and sells here n there.
Super nice person. I've known her for a few yrs now and she also has goats and makes soaps.

South Central Michiganders... I have a large Buff Orpington rooster, 1 year old, that I have to get rid of. He's just too big for the girls for the space they are all in. He's pulled near every feather out of each of their backs. I've had to separate him, and I don't want him in a crate any longer than necessary.

So, he is free to anyone in the Kalamazoo area, just PM me. As a last resort, he will need to be processed, but I don't know anyone around the area that will butcher for me (I just can't do it).
