Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Yeah our area was hit pretty bad too. A lot of trees down and one house, not too far from us, lost its whole roof (very sad). Fortunately we only lost power for a few hours, no damage this time, Now the storm we had a few weeks ago took out 4 large oak trees on our property, one of them landing on our camper, which we just bought last year.
What's the name of the app? My hometown was one that was hit with a tornado.

Just curious if everyone names your chickens? I've had mine about 2 months now, I think I have their personalities figured out. Having a tough time coming up with names. My daughter named my barred rock, Oreo, of course. (Daughter is 24 yrs old, lol) I have 1 red cross who is very unsure, not mean or anything, just likes to hang back and watch everyone else. Suggestions?
I would name the red cross...wait for it....Clara.

All of mine are named. A few of them seem to know their name and respond when I call them by name.
The broody adventure continues. One girl gave up after 2 days of sitting but another took her place and is sitting on the duck eggs. The chicken eggs are under my EE and watched closely by the BO. (That's Lucy sitting and Yogi watching)

At least I was able to wander in later than normal today. was about to leave for work at my normal time to be here at 1:30 when I saw one of my white hens out of the pen. She has a habit of jumping the 5 foot fence. I had just checked the schedule and I opted to just call up the office first, see if I could be here at 3 instead, before running her down. Got ahold of her and took her up to the porch and had Mom get some scissors. Hoping a little clipping of her wing there will keep her in the pen now.

Woot!!! just got a 4:15 to book!!!

Off the wall item: I know some folks trying to sell 2 Mink. Originally they purchased them to breed but must have gotten two boys, two girls, or two that don't? Yep, don't know the sex. Anyway if someone's interested shoot me a PM and I'll get you their phone #.

Woweeee! Haven't been on since April and over 1,000 posts! Welcome to all the new members, congratulations for all the happy occasions, and sorry to hear of the sad ones. I'll scroll through the old posts a little later.

Anywho, added three chickens to my current flock of two. They were in a separated pen from 8-12 weeks, but now they're almost the same size (and running around/sleeping with the big girls), but my Welsummer will NOT accept them. We have to put the little girls in the big coop every night, still. She pecks at them every morning when they run out. And today, she pinned one down! I honestly don't know what to do next! *Any tips or tricks for my small flock?* I don't want to give away my pretty girl, but I need my little girls to feel safe too!

Thanks in advance! Almost Friday!
