The skunk is in the trap!

And I have a broody Serema. And even better news for today, it's not raining!
Think I would rather have it raining when dealing with a skunk in a live trap. It should wash the smell down when you're "dealing with it".

I've wintered birds in tarped a-frames for 2 years now so if you insulate, you're doing it for you.

Half of my birds are molting. My grow out chicks keep jumping into the pen with the ornery hens and getting picked on. I keep moving them back but they don't seem to be catching on.....

While not chicken related this might save you you some money. My glasses had accumulated so many fine scratches that they were unwearable. Since they were basically trash I decided that I would try polishing them with the plastic lens cleaner used for headlights. I was amazed at how clear they now are.

Our run is starting to smell

what does everyone use around their chickens? Lime? DE?
Mine only really stinks when it's been wet....then I throw down a bit of straw and dry 'browns' if I've got em...leaves, grass clippings wood chips, etc.

We till up the run every spring and then again in the fall. Never added anything yet. So far so good but our run is covered from most elements with wood and tarps so that keeps a lot of wet out.

The reason my chickens are locked in for a while...actually there are two of them but only photographed one....

And yup, he was watching me take pictures (I love my camera, btw).
