Mary they are the Millers. On 200th Ave in Holton (close to Newago - near Sandy Harley Davidson) Price went up to $2 a bird this year. 2318212409. I'm taking 20 there tomorrow. You have to call ahead and schedule. Right now it appears they are doing Fridays and Saturdays. I started going there at a buck a bird and they have always done a good job.

They are out there. Heck, 2 weeks ago I was leaving work and there was a doe out in the yard next to our building. Heck, I didn't even see her until I had pulled out of my parking spot and there she was in the yard watching my coworker put the trash in the dumpster. Could have dropped with a bow from our back door.

I've seen some activity around my place. This little 8 pt was caught on my trail cam next to the house. and I saw a nice one in the field this morning... almost hit a small buck on the way in to work yesterday.....yeah, they're starting to move.

They need to start moving! It's been pretty slow for us both at home and at my dad's hunting property.

Hoping to see one of these guys this weekend though.

Just be glad your not in U.P. This year. Not a lot of deer to go around. In Marquette area anyway.

I heard that most of the UP the habitat is turning to favor the moose more than it would deer.

Yeah I don't think so. Still looks the same to me. But 2 extremely harsh winters in a row have really hurt the deer population.
Also I think the DNR over manages the population. And there are so many predators it's crazy. I'm in the woods a lot and I've rarely ever seen a moose but wolves are everywhere.

A lot of talk about colors yesterday on facebook. Must have been everybody was out and enjoying the fall colors here in Michigan. I know my drive up to GVSU yesterday sure was pretty. Really wish I could have stayed the night up there and driven back in the afternoon, probably along the M-55 route instead of 96 to 127 to 94.
