Pics of 'coops'?
Didn't see any in your photo albums.

They are manufactured by Farmtek and we bought them as kits about 12 years ago.

Like this, but different. Ours are 14' x 24' and have 5' sidewalls and about 9' at the peak. Instead of fencing around it, we applied the wire to the steel poles. And ours have roll up sides that reach all the way to the bottom of the poles, so we can roll them up, roll them down, or roll out halfway and prop out like awnings.

We have kennel panel pens between the coops and off to the end.

Wow nice!
How do you handle snow load in winter?

The material has a slick surface, so 90% of the snow self-sheds in normal breezes or day/night cycles. The roof pitch helps shed snow. The only time we have to clear it is when we get that fast-falling light snow that builds quickly. Then we just go inside with a broom and bounce the fabric to start an avalanche.

They've withstood many 8" + snowfalls and 70 mph winds, quarter sized hail and torrential rains.

Hello all,
It was recommended to me on the new members page to join in my state thread, so here I am!

We are new to raising poultry - well, my parents raised chickens and ducks when I was young but it's been awhile - and my husband and I got 9 pullets, 4 turkeys, 2 Pilgrim geese, and a baker's dozen of ducks this past spring.

We live outside the Ann Arbor area on 10 acres.
