By far our biggest egg yet. Doesn't even fit in the carton :)

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I was on this thread and I just thought that I'd drop by again and say hi. And also, did anyone else go the the MBGBA swap in Clair on Saturday? I went and got lucky with a pair of juvenile( or look like a pair) peafowl. I've wanted some ever since I had my last ones 5+ years ago but wasn't willing to pay $150 or more for a pair. The peachicks were only $30 a piece so I took the opportunity and got them. Does anyone have any tips on keeping them, like if I can free range them with the chickens and how to get them more tame( I know the basics, but wonder if there's a better way) and what everyone does in the winter since we all typically have the same weather. I have a little experience with them and know they need a large pen and to be separated from chickens, which mine are right now. I'm worming them to make sure they don't have anything bad from the previous owner. Any and all info would be much appreciated.

There's some pictures of the peachicks, can someone confirm if they are a pair? they are kinda skittish so it's hard to get good pictures.

That egg is a whopper!

Hi Glad and Rocky :)

I am ready to cut down to 2 roosters, if anyone is interested I have 2 Arkansas Blue roosters, around 4 months, that have to go. They are both blue. The AB's are skittish but not unfriendly, small standard birds and the hens lay a nice pure light blue large egg. They are very feed efficient. Crossed over a barred hen they will produce sex links.

I wish I could take them but my mom only allows one rooster at a time and I currently have one chocolate cuckoo rooster, sorry
