Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Ok so I have taken time today to very roughly draw out a draft of my ( I mean... Our family's... ) chicken coop design. Now mind you it is not set in stone yet but I'm hoping that our coop with look somewhat like this one here.

So this one just shows a very simple drawing of the coop and the height and length:

And then this one shows it in top veiw with more detail:

This one is really sloppy so just hang in there, it is top and side veiw with detail:

Okay so you get the jist of my coop plan, but I haven't thought of all the little details such as cost, where to put it and ect. While drawing this. It should end up at least six feet tall and long and five feet in width. Any other suggestions on compact coops please tell me and, I already looked in the coop forum, FYI.

I'm 5 foot 8 inches

My Dane last night (not a very good pic). He wouldn't go out to take care of himself, so I had to put his winter fleece on with MY raincoat over his head.

I think I need to buy him a rain jacket.

But I don't think I need to water the garden...

Gee, I wish I'd planted zucchini. My mom's sending up bags and bags of surplus from her crazy garden but I keep running out before the week ends. You can't buy zucchini that tastes that good.

I'm putting in a Metzer order for some new Khakis and I'm not sure if I should include anything else, you know, to try something new. Anyone have any suggestions I should contemplate? It would have to be quieter than my roosters (ie, quieter than a pekin).

First this....from the deluges of rain we've had.

Then this...saw the frass first, then a nibbled tiny tomato, followed the leafless branches, found 3 of them on my 2 plants.

Awww, that is so cute! I love Great Danes.

I am over run with zucchini!! My family may kick me out if I serve one more dish with it :)

Try making mock apple pie with the excess zucchini. Slice it to look like little apple slices and sugar it, add lemon juice and butter and apple pie spices. My kids don't usually realize that it is zucchini in there. Especially if there is vanilla ice cream too!

Our Indian Runners are our quietest ducks, but it's all relative. We also have Buffs and Rouens, which are loud, but NOTHING is as loud as our Crested Pekins. They quack and quack and quack at top volume all day. They even quack at night. I think even our geese get sick of those noisy Cresteds.

The Runners are quiet by comparison.
