What do you get when you cross a silkie rooster with a black Australorp hen?

A silkalorp, a pretty colored one at that!

I have some olive egger chicks, from my BC Marans rooster and EE hens. None of their parents were ever broody. I guess it just depends. I've never had an EE hen go broody, though. Mary

Anybody else ready for this heat and humidity to be over? assisted with moving a cousin today and about sweated through my shirt. That and she really needs to go through her stuff and start pitching a lot of it.

And she didn't even feed me either. a move like that should have gotten me at least a pizza.

The heat doesn't bother me too bad. How long did you help her move get stuff?

Free Appenzeller Spitzhauben roosters. One project blue and six or 8 silver spangled from Phordaburds, I am not breeding so not keeping any roosters. I do have hens and if someone is interested in breeding, I can sell one hen as well.

It does me in just sitting, no AC here......when I was much younger and thin, I could walk 18 holes in 90 degrees.

I had an EE go broody along with a BO. They co-nested and hatched 5 of 7 eggs last year. They hatched eggs I picked up at CS15.

Never a full EE, but had an EE/Iowa cross go broody
