Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It could be worse. You could have misplaced your wallet like I did sometime on Sunday after getting ice cream. Only realised today at work that it's missing.

Oh no!!! I'm sorry-that sucks!!! I did the same thing with my cell phone the other day and lost so many important numbers, texts and pics all because I'm to stubborn to pay for extra Itune storage and back stuff up

The sad thing is I lost it somewhere between the chickens, my car and the garage or in the house! Can you tell I lack organizational skills! I tore the place up and nothing. If it makes you feel any better, know that the dummy like me who comments on posts from 4 years ago to help someone out would be the one to turn in the wallet. There are still good people in the world-you just have to hope it's one of them that find your wallet

Yeah, really hoped that it would have turned up by now. Got most of my cards and whatnot replaced or on its way. Going to be hard to buy beer the next couple of weeks until my new drivers licence comes in.

Going to have to have my tractor all set up and mostly ready for Winter by October 30th this year. Going in to have a small umbilical hernia fixed on the 31st. Basically I'll get my innie back, but I'll have two weeks were I'm not supposed to lift or strain too much. Right now its just a little one, but it runs the risk of getting worse. and with as much stuff I move around on the farm and at work, its better to get it fixed now.

John, I'm so sorry for your loss! I know how our pets become such a big part of our family and hearts! Just remember, you gave her a good life. She was happy. Keep the good memories close to your heart.

good luck with your surgery, and make sure you follow Dr. orders

Thanks @lovechicks1293. I'm pretty happy with it so far. Between myself and my 78 yr old father and my mom who's 75, it's taken all summer to get it to this point. Electricity will have to wait until next year. Guess I'll be carrying water out several times a day this winter.
love the turkeys and your coop, Good job

John, so sorry about your sweet dog, it is a sad time. hope you don't wait to long to rescue another, there are so many dogs needing good homes.

looks like the weather is finally going to break, the fans in the coop have been running non stop all summer, I am surprised they made it, they sure do need a good cleaning.

Well, it's been a sad summer and I really have had no enthusiasm for BYC, or much else.  Jillaroo (my avatar photo) passed away last week from breast cancer.  She had a tough time for the last month, or so.  She went peacefully in my house with us by her side.  There is a very long story attached to how we came together as she was a rescue, and when I say say rescue I mean in every way possible.  So, she's gone and I have a few friends on here that knew her and did not know what she was going through.

So sorry for your loss. I lost Boomer (my avatar photo) to an osteosarcoma a few weeks ago. Cancer sucks

omg I need the rain to stop. My chicken run is a stinking, muddy, sloppy, sludgy cesspool of filth at this point. I just mucked out a small garden trailer load of goop, and the run is STILL sopping wet, standing water, big huge mess. I'm not sure what to even do at this point. I don't have any straw or anything at the moment and have to go out of town tomorrow for a family medical thing.
