Vinegar Keeps Mice Away

I have found red wine vinegar gets rid of mice without having to use poisons or traps. About once a month, I mix a gallon of vinegar with 2 gallons of water in a watering can and sprinkle the mixture all around the outside of my house. This keeps the mice away. - Milton Ammel. Parker, Kansas

Here is the ayam cemani cockerel I need to get rid of. I can't keep roosters and luckily he hasn't started crowing yet. I can post photos of a cemeni hen if anyone is interested in pairs. He is about four months old. If you want more photos just ask. He seems friendly, I have him in my lap right now and he is sitting nicely.
I need this rooster gone, I can give you a discounted price if you just want him.

I am having trouble with my chicken door warping. Now that I have a auto door mechanism it is a problem because the door won't close or open with too much resistance. Does anyone have a recommendation for a different wood or material to use? Thanks

I'm assuming you have a decent level of handiness...

You could try one of the synthetic wood types (Trex) but you won't find it as dimensional lumber. You might have to cut down a deck board to make it work.

Or you can make an aluminum frame with angle pieces or u-channel. That's a bit trickier and you'll need some metal cutting tools.

My buff Orpington pullets are 21 weeks old. No eggs yet, and they're combs are still pink although some seem to be reddening and getting bigger fairly quickly. My BO cockerel of the same age stated crowing a couple weeks ago and I don't think he's attempting to mate them yet. I currently have the nesting boxes blocked off. Should I keep them blocked till I see an egg or open them up so the ladies can get used to them? They do not free range at all yet and are in a good size coop and run 24/7. This is my first flock. They seem to sleep on roosting bars sometimes but also in the wood shavings when it's really cold.

Might want to open the boxes. They may not lay right away due to it being cold and the lack of light.

Looks like a piece of dimensional lumber....like a 1x12?
Use exterior grade plywood instead, much less likely to warp.
