Well good news my friends.
The state refunded the money. I am solvent again.
Well I will be after the hold on the check expires. Seems the bank doesn't trust the state. LOL
Any way, my stress level has evaporated and I can get on with life again.

This weekend, one of my Marans started laying again, and today one of the EEs layed a nice green egg. Finally!!! The Marans and EEs have taken a couple of months off, bless them, so this is a good sign.

There is a guy in Zeeland, MI that sells ring neck pheasant chicks for $1 each (if I remember correctly) but he might be willing to let some eggs go too. PM me if you want his contact info. He's often on Holland/Grand Rapids Craigslist. Guessing that may be a bit far for you and I don't know if he ships.
