Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

We got over a foot of snow last night and it’s still coming down at a pretty good rate. High school baseball and softball were supposed to have games yesterday and today. This weather is stupid. Obviously it’s a snow day for the kids as well.

When we worked on the coop over the weekend we pulled all of the fence for the run down so we wouldn’t have to maneuver around it, and I put all 11 of my big hens into the smaller coop that should have 8 at the most in it during the winter, because it still has a good sized run for them to spread out in. Yeah. Not with a foot of snow. Arg!

Maybe you ought to see if Candy has an Iowa roo that they don't want for breeding that she could send your way. I've not seen em in action, but they're supposed to be downright fearless when it comes down to saving their girls.

yes Iowa boys have been great protectors for sure. . Let us know if you are interested! :pop:)

Yep. It sure was pretty this morning. The snow stopped and the sun came out. It is blinding out there. I plowed the driveway but there really wasn't much snow to move. But I like doing it even if all that gets exposed is mud.
I can do without this bitter cold though.

RaZ, come on up North and get your fill of 10 inches of the heavy wet stuff! Yu-uck!

It is 10" of beautiful, lots of work but what isn't. I still have to shovel out the run tomorrow, just not enough time after my lane and driveway and part of my neighbor's with the tractor and snowblower. And we get to go snowmobiling this weekend so that's nice.
