Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Alright guys. We need to make a decision about where to have the picnic. If I don't put the deposit down the first Monday in Jan. we will not get a pavilion. They are in high demand for the month of June
RaZ is still in construction mode. Maybe give him another year to get things done and guest ready. His land is awesome, but are you ready, Randy? lol

Aches and Pains is good for Business. And Business is good!!

Listen to your Personal Torturer Raz and do your home exercises and stretches like how they told you to.

Knee pain was terrible today. I'd say a 7 or 8 when the PT therapist asked. After some exercises and her manipulations, the knee pain was gone. Completely. Gone. Zero pain level in the knee.
Funny thing is, she never even touched my knee. Just worked muscles and ligaments in my thigh and towards my hip. It was kind of painful but it felt good. If that makes any sense.

I would love to have everyone come here for CS19. I'll be ready for a crowd by June. I can even have Port-a-potties. I'm friends with the people who provided them for the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville.

On the other hand, Lansing is in the center of the state and has easy freeway access. I'm a good hour east of I-75. Think of taking I-75 to Saginaw or Bay City then driving East for a good hour or so. It's a bit out of the way but there would be no time limits or restrictions here. Heck, it could be a weekend party in the woods. :bun Would Nature walks and hay-rides be of interest to anyone? We can do that here.

It's something to think about.

The Traditional location is fine with me. It's what we are used to.
So I suggest that we try to get the pavilion in Lansing but if we can't get the date, we use my place as a back-up. How does that sound to everyone?

Yep, it sure does make sense. Have they had you do any 'no limp' stride exercises?
Found that fascinating during PT, and it really helped to get all the muscles back to moving the way they should, I still use it when my knee/ankle blows up. Keeps ya from wadding all the muscles up trying to 'guard' from the pain.

Sounds great to me! From up here the distance difference between the two is negligible. I do understand it may make more difference to those from the West side.
That extra hour or so could really be a problem for the West Coast people.
I understand that.
Also why I'm open for an entire weekend event. I have some room in the house for guests; and a camper for some; plus room for tents, trailers, and plenty of parking space.
Just depends on what folks want to do.

The plan for today was to set some fence posts for the chicken run and get the fence panels up. But the darn car needed a repair. That 10 minute job took a good 5 hours in the shop. Completely messed up my day. At least I got some wiring done in the garage afterwards.
I think the young birds are ready to venture out of the coop. I want them to have a nice safe area to roam in. Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow.
