Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

So I did convert a standard 3 box to a front roll-away and the result was all clean eggs and zero loss. The downside is I have a cover flap that I have to close at night to keep the girls from roosting and then get over there before sunrise so they can get back in. I suppose I could go over at dark and open it once they roost. The only upgrade now are the mats. I'm just using cardboard now as a trial. I think I'll order those mats like OPA used in his "elaborate" rear roll-away. Someday I'll make on of his if I ever build the dream coop.

That's what I do when using nest cover, but I don't lock up until after dark.
Care to share any pics of new roll out nests?

I'll contact you John if I cave in for more goats.

We had some ice this morning. Roads were clear but unsalted parking lots etc were slick. When we parked this morning at hubbys work, the car slid backward in park 6 feet! Eeks!

I have to work Saturday when we're expecting all that snow.... hopefully it won't be too bad before I can come home.

Hi Gerty, you still have the duck? There is this FB page:
