Operator errorI swear that the makers of Blu-Kote have intentionally designed the application bottle to spray everywhere except where you need it.

When I used it, (worthless IMO), I sprayed it into a bottle cap the used a qtip to apply to bird.

Randy, I'll likely have a rooster this spring, down here, but not an Orph. I guess you could order some chicks and keep one. Maybe split an order?

Yeah, I'm looking at Meyer as its only about 2.5 hours away from me. Easy enough for me drive down there, get some lunch, pick up chicks, and then jet back home with them on say like a Thursday, and probably meet up with Raz and anyone else on Sunday. I'm kinda thinking about doing it sometime around mid March as I would want it a little warmer in Mom's garage as I keep my brooder there. Hopefully we don't have to deal with a polar vortex then. That's what I remembered, so that's a great idea. Which hatchery? If Cackle, I'm interested too.

8 eggs today. One was a double yolk.
Yeah, I'll probably make some new stands this spring when it warms up some, probably fix up the old ones as well. Pretty sure that the weighted stands work best when I can start putting sand in it down in the base of it and really pack it in there than trying to get it all in there from the top of them at the end.Bummer on the breakage @bigmrg74 .
Lucky not to have any damage with ice and wind here.
