Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

That's too bad that TSC can't have some compassion for their employees. Everyone will go through tough times and a little kindness will go a long way. We all need a helping hand now and then.
Hope you get to feeling better, Randy. No fun being in pain!

Most people leave jobs because of management - not because the jobs are bad. Good thing about management - they often change. (though sometimes not often enough!) Corporate jobs are far different and less forgiving than mom and pop jobs, but they tend to be where the higher paying jobs are. I'm lucky to be in the field I'm in... I have a lot of freedom and flexibility.

Looks like we're having a cold wet spring this year... hopefully all the rain will help get the trees etc though the dry spell come summer. Last year was pretty brutal.

Have a good day guys!

Hope it went as well as possible @RaZ .

Raining again here today too..some of the chooks don't mind much.
Hen buyer says she'll be here at 11am tomorrow :fl.
Will be good to have fewer birds/fewer eggs to match my demand levels.
So why did I put 12 eggs under a broody?...ha!
Hoping to keep a few pullets(fresh winter layers) and sell the rest! .....again :fl

I know my ailments aren't as bad as some, but this cold rain is hard on my knees, and hands. I played derby for 2 seasons and incurred 3 separate injuries with my left knee. I'm not looking forward to 10 years from now let alone 20. I would ask someone to tell me that it gets better but I hate being lied to! LOL
My chicks are all doing well and growing fast. Left the brooder door open while refilling the water this morning and I had a few brave ones venture out. My hens were happy they've spent the last 3 nights running around the yard.

I'm at 18 days in a borrowed RCom Suro King with 18 eggs left. But I have to go out of town tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday evening - hatch day :barnie. Unavoidable but seriously aggravating.
Bummer!! :(
That would drive me nuts!
Maybe you'll come home to a bunch of fluffy chicks!

There are a bunch of silkies at work. Anyone want some? I can set up a brooder form them and bring to Chicken Stock if you like. PM me and we can talk.
We also got a batch of mixed turkeys, ducks, and melanistic pheasants. I was waiting for the ringnecks but I'm seriously thinking about these birds. Same deal goes if anyone wants any. PM me.
