Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I like a bit of both... I keep the lawn mowed around the house - helps my flower gardens stand out..and less hiding places for the darn foxes. But I have several acres we don't touch at all, and some are for the sheep.

Speaking of foxes. the neighbor feeds a female in the area, and I saw 2 of her kits last night playing in the road (one got hit a week earlier). They are always lurking around my yard... killing my chickens.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

I used to be one of those 4-step lawn people. The fertilizer company even considered my yard for a photo ad. Then I began my master's degree and learned just how lawns became an American obsession.

I haven't seen my foxes in over a year. I don't know what happened to them. Maybe the devil dog is keeping them away. No if I could only keep the damn dog out of the chicken run. :barnie

Oiy! Worked the closing shift tonight (Friday). I was thinking close at 11 and be home and in bed by midnight. Nope! Weekends we are open until midnight. And I worked with the owner...so no shortcuts to get out early...so I didn't get home until much later.

It's now 2:15 am. I hope I can wake up early enough to get to CS19 on time. If I hit the snooze and over sleep you will know why I'm late.
