Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Finally finished moving our chicken coop and rebuilding the run. It took a couple of weekends to button it up tight. When I have a little time I will get the tin on part of the run roof proper so the chickens can be out in the inclement weather. I spray painted the run boards just so it wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb for the next year or so. As soon as the weather is a little nicer I will plant some rye or whatever around it. Plan on doing some herbs in the area as well.

That's a great pen!

Can't wait to hear peepers - ground here is still snow-covered.
Are you being facetious?

I'm working on making the run bigger. Drilling post holes in the woods is rather difficult. I knocked over part of the fencing and they can clear the breach. I keep flitting between chores. Short attention span I guess.

Hey guys, stuck at home with DH. He is WFH for the next 3 weeks.

Job searching at a stand still. half the time I can’t even get on to marvin.

DH mom went into hospice Thursday night. Poor girl was in the hospital for a week and was making progress after a stroke. They closed hospitals to visitors so she was there by herself for a week. We called her every day but her stroke took her ability to speak. They moved her to a home for therapy and next thing we know she’s on her deathbed?! The only way we would able to see her at all was if she were put in hospice. The home broke the rules and let the 5/6 people stay in the room with her. She passed away on Saturday. I am glad she didn't want a funeral and we got her arrangements done Monday before the lock down. We ended up covering the cost for the FIL because everything is delayed to get death certs and insurance processed. Hope he pays up.

RAZ- glad you’re ok.

Only good news I have is my DSD finally got some chicks! And I am going to put a couple doz in the bator.... for something to do.
