Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It was a smaller oscillating fan, but it was up on a shelf. They have been jockeying around that area and must have knocked it down. Totally my fault. I even got their coop finished last night and didn’t want to shock them by putting them in their without the opportunity to get used to the run first.

I wouldn't say it's your fault. Chickens are like kids and get hurt in ways you wouldn't expect.

I was surprised. I was still on the ventilator. But they pulled the tubes before 4pm. Another day under might have been nice. No more than a catnap since. Plus no solid food yet either.
I saw the surgeon this morning. He said that they didnt have to stop my heart. Makes for less time on ventilator and in icu.
