Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Welcome back!
BTW, around here the local tiny public libraries are part of a larger group, so belonging to one means belonging to several. If true where you are, maybe there's one that does have internet that you can use.
The days are getting longer, love it, even though winter is in full swing.

When I first moved here I signed up at the library the next town over. Showed them my DL and got a library card no problem. A few months later they took my card away because the township I live in didn't have an agreement with them. The head librarian cut it up right in front of me. I guess my state issued ID wasn't good enough for her. There are some strange people around here.

I worked in retail for many years. I so dislike when bad service is given. I always went out of my way to make the customers happy. I had customers that would only deal with me. So I try and be nice, but sometimes....
I work on the receiving dock so don't usually deal with customers unless called to go stock shelves or something. Since everything the store sells comes through my hands I know where darn near every item is located. Customers ask where something is, I can take them right to it. That seems to impress them sometimes. The only items I don't unload or stock are meats and produce.

The city library here is like that too. Only government groups that have a millage For the library can use the library services for free. My Township has one, but the next one over doesn't. I do think you're allowed to use the internet for up to 30 minutes though

Remember when I broke my foot at the start of the Covid? Ands couldn't get it treated? Finally in the fall I got the x-rays and the podiatrist ordered an Exogen ultrasound bone treatment device. Insurance finally agreed to pay for it and I got the unit a few weeks ago. I don't know how it works but it seems pretty amazing to me. I saw the x-rays of my foot and it is pretty messed up. It is going to take at least 3 months of daily treatment to see if it improves. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Even the toes on the broken foot. :D That is literal, 2 toes are really crossed from the damage.

Hope that gadget works! Maybe I can use it on my knee. Replacement not doing too well. Now my shoulder hurts. Called my dr office and since all my normal drs have all gone to other places, I was being treated as a new patient. He's booked until April/May!! Really? So, called another office and have an appt Tuesday!
It's cold today!! Hope the sun at least peaks through!
I have a hen that's molting, so I have put the heat lamp on the last couple of nights. She looks miserable.
Have a good day...

Sunny here too. Temp has been around the freezing point all week. Varies by 1 or 2 degrees. The ice is only close to shore and with the wave action, it bobs up and down with every wave. Definitely not safe ice but so pretty to look at.

My hens had a very easy moult last month. No major exposure of skin. All are fully feathered and looking good. Egg output has only been 1 - 4 a day.

The injury to Big Boy's leg has slowed him down a bit but he still manages to mount the ladies and prevent Little Boy from misbehaving. Ducks have matured and I have 1 drake and 3 hens. I think that is a good ratio. Hoping for duck eggs in the spring.
