Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Thanks Sally, I have not gotten up there yet. sounds like a nice place.
Beautiful day today, Rain and snow are going to be hard to take after these nice sunny days.
I think I have taken care of the hawk problem, got all the breaks in my overhead netting zip tied, now at least the girls can go out in the run. For a month or more they were cooped up inside the coop, Still don't dare let the free range as he flies over daily looking for another chicken dinner. Coop is smelly now so I will have to get it cleaned out soon.
Have a good day every one.
Have a wonderful day Snowflake!

I don't see an alternate feed on the bag but the type I'm using currently is Mazuri Exotic Animal Nutrition. They are also on chick grit and I feed them minnows in the pool they play in. Don't know if there was a certain type of brand anyone would recommend that they used that worked great.
Looks like you've found the duck forum, should be able to get good advice about duck food there.

Thought I was still in the Michigan one, oops! Is always good to know. Maybe I really make a big change in my backyard and add ducks.. Thank you Aart
Ducks are cute little creatures and adorable feather babies but they do take a lot of work sometimes just depending how many you get. I got 5 and I had to change their water 3-4 times a day and clean out the brooder sometimes twice a day. They sure do like to poo a lot :lau

But I think ducks would be a super fun addition to your flock :D

Sure Michelle, I am all alone here. My neighbors are very nice. I had to go for throat surgery in December, a month after I moved, and they plowed my entrance while I was gone. I have cooked for them and still owe them tremendously because that was an act of love and can never repay.
You can come over, everyone can come over. I love cooking!!!!
Come ready for some Puerto Rican cuisine!!!

oh, not that I say this, just remembered that my sister told me that I should do an "alambique" that is the Indian name for a "moonshine" processing area, :lau She is crazy thinking that Ii have never done anything illegal and I would start now!!!
Cold rain all day here, making a big mess as there is still lots of snow on the ground. Foggy/hazy/wet.

I visited Puerto Rico once, and loved everything. The food was fabulous.

Maybe in places that are closer to cities there is not much of a sense of neighborhood and neighborliness, but up here holding out a helping hand is still how it works. People here are always ready to come when needed, and often we pay it forward instead of back. One of the reasons I kept moving north after growing up in East Lansing.

Sometimes I would take the train to Chicago to visit my sister. What a treat - you glide through the back fields, see all kinds of wildlife, it was heavenly.
