Picking up chicks from local breeder tomorrow.
6 BCM straight run.
The Ameraucana were not fruitful, so no luck there(damn!).
Brooder all set up and ready to go!
Now am scheming to shop for a few more pullet chicks,
just in case the BCM's are all males(I only need 1).

Our chicks are leaving Cackle April 14th, and it's not far away at all. The last day in March!!! Yahoo!!!
I have ordered a very few French BC Marans pullets, so see what you get, and let me know if you have a problem with yours.

Mine are from a local 'breeder' not sure where the parent stock came from.

I meant 'problems' as in 'all cockerels'! Last year I got six straight run bantam EEs, and five were cockerels. Not ideal! May you have better luck, and I might have an extra pullet or two from my Cackle order, depending.
And I want to see pictures of yours!

I was gone for not even a day and there is already another page on this thread!

Yesterday was a wonderful day for me. I went to the store to get some groceries for easter dinner for my mom and my dad had me take his card but it kept getting declined when I was at the register. I don't carry my phone with me because I'm not a fan of technology I feel less stressed without it so I ended up using the store phone.

I kept trying my mom but she wasn't answering and then I tried my dad and he answered and I told him the situation. I didn't have another card or cash to use so he said he would bring me up another one. Then I sat towards the side waiting for my dad when the woman next to me who was bagging her groceries asked how much it was and I told her $27.10.

She then gave me $40 to pay for my groceries and I told her it wasn't necessary and at least give her back the change and she told me to use it for gas money and just pass it forward. I was super grateful and thanked her then paid for my groceries. I told my dad and he was super pleased and amazed there are still people like that in the world.

I drove straight to the animal shelter and donated the rest of the money there. Then I came home and got ready for practice where I did great at! Coach said I was super awesome and showed tons of improvement from the previous practice the day before and she said I was on my game.

That was a beautiful gesture. You deserve it.

I don't know why it meant so much to me but I ended up keeping the receipt.

Funny how my morning went from someone flipping me off in the morning while driving to someone paying for my groceries

Sell me 2 females, I drive north, I love driving. I drive every so often over 1300 miles to Florida, Just want blue eggs!!!! Anyone have green eggs laying hens? Nothing like green eggs and ham!
