When I first looked at the pictures, I thought you'd gotten a "thrown out" Jeep.

What kind of thermometer did you get? I've been debating if I want to get a cheap one or spend $120 for a sturdy one.

It is kind of a "thrown out" Jeep. I bought it used a few years ago with over 200K miles on it. I'm almost to 300K miles now.

My thermometers are pocket size probes. Just cheapies but fairly accurate. They use them at work to check food temps. One use then thrown away. I guess it is more cost effective to buy more than to clean and reuse.
