Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Thanks everyone! I think I need to finish the run and wash the area they are in. Maybe is their poop. Yes, and they do bite worse than a mosquito.
Good news, did not had a real bad time getting them into the house tonight. :bow
I only had to chase the seabrights. They can fly pretty high. I am debating the cutting of one wing but not sure I want t o do that. Posted on craigslist about Ross. Hopefully I can find him a good loving home.

There is also a sell and swap in newaygo on the 12th that if I have not found a home for him, I might go and see if I can find him one. He has been ok since he was released this morning but I think that once in the coop, he will try to mount someone.
Have a good night!

My new chicks! Unfortunately, one of the Jubilee Orpingtons died between midnight and 5 am. RIP, tiny chick.

This tuckered them out. They went back under the heat plate and fell asleep. Growing is a serious workout.

Definitely if you try them don't hang them vertically, take tacks and fix them so that they're horizontal up at the ceiling.
Good idea. It would be better to use a fastener with a little more bite than the tack that comes with the coils. A screw or nail would be more secure. Uncoiling the darn things is a PITA.

I don't have them in my coop but I do have them in my house. Not sure how they get in but I get lots of small flies in the house. Even after the work crew sealed all of the gaps in the house.

Hi John! I'm doing great! The rabbits are still in with the chickens. lol They all enjoy free ranging. Enjoying the warmer weather, finally. We're camping. Going to St Joe this weekend.
How are you doing?

We finally got a little bit of rain. It's all cleared out now, but could have more for the next three-four days. I sure hope so. Yeah, the weeds will grow like, well, weeds. But it has been such a dry year so far.
We got some here too, enough to drip off the eaves but not much really.
Did a nice job of raising the humidity to nasty.
