Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Righto. Just came in. 9:30 and still light out. Oh how I love summer and the heat.
Coop is locked up for the night.
Your girls go in at 9:30pm? Bunch of party girls. I think mine learned my military way. They go in by 8:15 and in roost by 8:30. Treats to those who are already up and ready in a squat position to sleep and lights out. Of course, they are up by 5:45 am but they stay in roost stretching until I open the door at 6:25am, :lau

People, this is very hard. Now that XH is working nights, not much gets done. I do not want to make noises and some stuff I have no clue on how to do them.
Anyways, one of the things I got was a washer machine drum. I hear they make a good fire pit. Taking longer naps do not help. But before daylight was gone, i was able to place another camera by the kitchen window facing the temporary run. Soon I will complete putting the hardware cloth around what has been made and some netting and shade cloth that a wonderful lady has for me.

Wednesday morning I have a ministry to help make breakfast burritos for the church. That goes to to cover cost of materials and the rest for mission support in other countries. But it is so much work to do and I feel like there is not enough time. I know what you will say:, welcome to the country life. But I am starting late in life and that is why I find it hard. Wish I had start it earlier when I was way younger, :lau

Morning! Was up till late last night and was not able to sleep good. It was like weird. Anyways, ladies are out, Rachel as usual sat in nest for about an hour and no egg. Got them some leftover boiled ripe plantain to see if they will eat that. Have not been out. Seems like is going to rain soon. Phoebe is driving me crazy. From a nice girl that wanted to be on my shoulder's, has become an escape artist. She flies 5 ft out and then cannot get back in. So she just goes back and forth around the fencing until I go outside and get her inside again. She is very talkative if that could be said. She rambles constantly like she is telling stuff and I cannot understand. No egg song what so ever. I learned their kind of scared crow. Sophia is so dramatic and does it for any little sound she hears even if it is me. Today I have a few things to include a Bible group this evening. Also, I found a piece of cement on their temporary run. I am trying to uncover it to see what it is and how big it is. Darn chickens have me digging on my yard already!

Oh, well. Hope you guys have a wonderful day.

Going to be buying supplies for the frame this friday when I get paid. Sucks that lumber is so expensive right now
Do not order on line nor without looking at what you are paying for. Lumber is expensive still and the quality has lowered. Some have mold and bad cuts or warped. Make sure you see what you are getting. I ordered fencing and 3 weeks later it is all warped and full of mold.
