We had two wall AC units installed years ago, and they work fine to cool the house when it's just miserable outside. Our windows are all casement, so window units not possible, and we have hot water heat, so no ductwork in the house for AC either.
The whole house fan helps a lot when it cools down at night, and we do have a couple of large trees for shade. Unfortunately our best tree had to be cut down this summer as it was failing.
90F is just too much!

We don't have a team any more, but these were a few that were there. The little guys just started that week!

Thought you would like the pictures! Oxen are virtually all steers, and castrating youngsters delays the closure of their growth plates, so they get larger than either cows or bulls with the same genetics! That blue ox was very big, especially, and the Brown Swiss team were babies, only about seven months old.

Well, the power is back on in the whole house. Hooray! The breaker box is obsolete and needs to be replaced. Boo!

I love the heat and think lilacs are weeds. I don't fit in.

Yesterday was hot and sticky and today it's cold and damp. I made the mistake of wearing shorts to work today and nearly froze. Especially when the thunderstorm rolled through. I was out in the garden centre and the rain was ice cold. I actually had the heater on when I drove home.

Let's hope it warms up tomorrow.

I know yall probably think this was stupid but I was getting a puppy from an ad and when I talked to the person over the phone and set up a place and time to meet then I paid $350 over paypal to get the dog and hold him and they person never showed...

Pay pal has pretty good resolution processing...so I've heard.

So I called the person multiple times and I texted them a bunch. Finally I requested the money back and they didn't give it back so then I called the support group for paypal, tried to see if I could file a report with the police but they said they can't do anything with it even though I had the phone number, email, original ad posting, the transaction numbers but nope police won't so squat. So I called my bank to see if they could reverse it and nothing.

Long story short I tried everybody and I just don't have a dog or $350

This is why you adopt and don't shop folks
