Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well, well, well. I have received an egg for each of the past 3 days. About darn time.

Close to 40 degrees and sunny out. Yard is full of squirrels and the feeders are full of birds. Goldfinches are turning bright yellow and I think a pair of pileated woodpeckers are looking to nest again. There is a nice cavity in that tree about 25' up.

I was a getting 1-4 eggs a day for about 3 weeks, and now the production has stopped again. Doesn't help that I've lost 3 hens. They were all from the rescues. So don't know their age, but all were still laying. Yesterday hubby let them out and I went out about 45 min later and found my favorite sweet hen dead. Still warm. Have no idea why. Perfectly fine yesterday. I need some more hens. Checked into the Farm and home point of lay hens you can order. Only a few stores offer. Only Isa Browns. $16.99 Don't care for Isa Browns.
Have 8 turkeys around my bird feeders. Big ones. Rain all day today. Hope you all have a good day.
