Sorry I have been away. Busy with the markets but doing OK. Some days I go blank like last Tuesday but this morning made 20 bucks,

Jlo and Blackie went broody a month and they just wouldn't give up. Yesterday they broke 4 eggs trying to steal them from one box to another. Locked them both with Pitbull and done. Pitbull took care of that nonsense,
Hub parents are going through health issues. Unknown if we drive south. He can go on a plane but not me. Those things keep parts falling off and I am safer here.

Everyone okay out there? We had quite a storm with winds today, and many folks without power around here. Our Generax is doing it's thing, first time we've actually needed it!
Trees down all over the place, including here, but only fencing and a corner of the chicken coop damaged.

It blew like crazy, acorns hitting the house and sounding like rocks! But the power is still on, and nothing big fell on anything. We'll check the woods tomorrow to see if there is any "volunteer" fire wood.

So far our Generac is running beautifully, love it! I was up at 3am, watching an amazing lightning show south of us, and checked our propane tank. After 10 hours on the magic machine, 5% less 'gas in the tank'. Super! It's not winter, so no use for heating, but still good news. It can run a lot longer, and Consumers still claims that the power will be back this morning.

Same here, quite a bit of thunder and lighting nearby....and a tiny bit of rain overnight.

Does anyone on the west side of the state have a supplier they like for metal roofing? That's what I'd like to use on my coop but my first quote was like 800 bucks! Or does that seem appropriate?

I have 4 surfaces that need to be covered:

2x: 13'-10 1/2" x 6'-6 1/2"
2x: 22'-8 1/8" x 7'-2 1/8"
