Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Ohh, our unpredictable Michigan temps 😂 Dad and I want to winterize the run too but we're unsure when to do it too because of the weather fluctuations. They're predicting a really cold, really snowy winter but so far I'm not buying it... I should know better though, I've lived here all my life and have woken up to blizzards in May :gig

Last predictions I saw from NOAA, they changed the temp prediction to chances are slightly warmer but still higher in precipitation.

I've been on the fence of when to put up the plastic too. Those few really cold, windy days we had and now 77s today. Holding off for now.

70° up here today. We're at least three or four weeks away from serious winterizing.
The girls got a giant pile of leaves today, hopefully another tomorrow if I have time.

I think our doctor is a true find, as that is not his way. He does not "push pills," and is whole heartedly behind our decision to NOT be on any pills. (Hubby is on one that he will need for the rest of his life. That's the exception.)

He's an DO, not an MD. I don't know if that is what makes the difference, or not.
MDs are allopathic, use medicine to treat. DOs use more natural remedies.

I wrapped my girls' pen, today on the south and west sides. The coop protects the east side, and the north side partially protected. I do have a clear tarp for the north side, but will hold off until it gets colder. They still have access to their chunnels until the snow flies. Hoping to have a new roof for the run before winter. But they'll be safe and dry if it's not done until spring.
