Really?!?:wee
Looks like it to me.

Cockerel at 8 weeks. He went to auction.

Everytime I boil my bantam's eggs, I'm reminded of how inaccurate the "float test" is. These eggs are about half-air-sac and were laid this week.

Today the air quality and temperatures were finally in the 'do things outside' range, so got a few things going out there. Tomorrow, hope for more good weather, and more progress.
I moved our bantam EE rooster and his five hens to the separate coop area tonight, looking for maybe some chicks in a month or so. One of the hens was already in a nest box there, a very good sign (I hope!).
Just couldn't stand it, I do want a few more EE bantams this year!
One of our two 'fake' Australorp pullets is now crowing, he's sounding a bit better every day. The other one, and the EE cockerel, haven't said anything yet. It should get pretty noisy soon though!

TSC mislabeled their chicks... I forgot what the bin was labeled, but it wasn't Sapphire Gem. Bought 3 chicks of I thought a breed of Delaware. Did research and found Blue Hen Delaware. But still really didn't match. The hens legs turned black. Funny tho, the rooster's legs stayed yellow. But, read that legs could be either color. That rooster crows all day long. But, I've heard him do his everybody hide call. And he calls his girls to come to him, and calls them over when he finds food for them. It's neat to see his development.
Nice cool morning for a walk. Didn't sweat. Hope you all enjoy the break.
