Another morning that we must make our own sunshine
But with the help of friends it's an easy task. So grab yourself a cup of coffee and lets sit about the task of creating a smile.

I never who have believed it possible for roosters to lay eggs but evidently it must happen. Where else could Uggos come from if Mom seems to only have roosters. Don't anyone tell them church folks or they'll be protesting outside her house.

Welcome to the new folks! Really is nice to see some new 'faces' on here! Hope to keep seeing you.

I'm not that far from one of you, being east of Manistee. Well, city folks might call it far, but country folks don't!

Someone asked about identifying silkie chicks?
Black skin, five toes (preferably feathered), and a fuzzy top on the the head that will turn into the nice puff later.
Here's some good pics of new chicks from elsewhere on this site

We have a bit of liquid sunshine here.
Unfortunately Mr. Duck is not smiling this morning. Last night 4 wild mallard hens flew into the yard. They ate and hung around for about an hour then left before sundown. They must have said something to the 2 young hens. They are gone and the drake is going crazy looking for them.

Im heading out in just a bit to pick my daughter up from Camp Ohiyesa somewhere past Camp Dearborn in milford. my husband has always driven to get her, but this time I am going by myself.
Anyone that way know how the construction is on 96? They have asked that we do not arrive before ten- and I have no idea what time to leave. Id rather be early than late.
