Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

And Opa, do you know what this is? Maybe a rainbow trout or a splake? I have not seen a black-mouthed fish before.

Beautiful!!!!

If it's your plan to sit outside and watch the sun come up it might be a good idea to place a saucer atop your coffee between sips. If not it's liable to get rather diluted. Looks like the rain is going to keep our morning a little on the damp side. A positive note on the rain is that it will cool the stream temperatures which should start the trout and salmon moving upstream.

Rain seems to be gone from these parts. I wonder if we'll get another sneaky unplanned frost tonight? Made a mess of my pickling cukes.

Today is my dear DH's birthday. He is sleeping. I woke up early again. Luna is looking out the window, hey, I see blue sky out there, I think we're gonna have sun up here early.

Good morning Michigan, cool and showery here. Today is the Tractor Parade, over 800 antique tractors drive across the Mackinac Bridge from Mack City, they go by on the main street for hours - very neat.

Struck out fishing last night - but a beautiful evening on the big water anyway.

I checked out your website, and you have a very nice looking rooster there. I'd be willing to trade a 2 month cockerel for a pullet if you are interested.
I could possibly do that just not sure which pullet i want to part with plus i just had 5 babies hatch so looking forward to see what they are. Do you have a pic of the 2 month old?

I have faves, but they are poor quality hatchery stock.

Still raining here...

Got up at 2:30 to come in to work this morning.... these early starts are killer, but it's nice to get out at noon too! problem is all I want to do when i get home is take a nap!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, looks like it'll be a nice one.

I would love to see that. I love tractors. The Ag meeting was at the Coopersville Farm Museum and they had a bunch of cool old tractors both inside an out. A very nice collection of quilts too.

Cool and rainy here this morning. I left out the red oak that I had planed and biscuit jointed for a chimney trim piece. Doh!

It will take some time to dry and hopefully I didn't warp the piece. It's too wide to go back through the planer now.

Looks like it's gonna be a perfect day here! It's that perfect temp between hot and cool, sun is shining in a blue sky. I am going to go hunt down the last of the wild grapes for my feathered friends. :)
