I look forward to reading everyone's posts and usually check the site several times each day. I joined the forum in May but really didn't start posting in earnest until January so this will be my first hunting season on the forum. I'm trying to figure out how I can stay "connected" to everyone and still hunt like I normally done. Looks like I will have to become a night time poster.

Looks like we are going to have another wonderful day. It's already much warmer than yesterday morning.

Maybe since I have bought a new snowblower we won't get much snow

We can hope can't we, Opa! Not that I absolutely hate snow, but I think I have had my fill the past couple of years. It's actually the bitter cold and ice that I can't stand anymore. If only it would never drop below 35 degrees.

hi everyone

took the baby ducks out yesterday for a little bit, they will be 3 weeks tomorrow, they loved it, but they weren't sure about the big ducks, everyone kept coming by to see them, and they would start yelling and looking at me

like what are these thing nibbling on me.

since its going to nice today i'm going to take out in the back yard for another field trip

I got some Blue Plymouth rocks from a gal in Florida, out of 15 eggs, 7 are growing, 1 looked like it stopped in the first week and the other 7 looked liked they weren't fertilized or some thing happened in shipping or right after i got them.

i have 5 duck eggs that are going good to, 6 silkie eggs and 1 EE, that doing great to

Sam i should have your incubator back to you next weekend, if your around next sunday, my Grandma just move to Howell at S of M-59 on Michigan Ave. In Oak Haven Manor. so i was going to pop in and see her and bring back your bator

Laura- that is a nice place to have a loved one live

We have performed there with violin before and our homeschool ballet. The folks there have lots of entertainment options! I called for the ballet group and was told she was booked for the next 3 months.

Good morning everyone!

It's the eve before the great chicken nationals and I AM SOOOOOOO EXCITED!

Getting up at 4am stinks, but Oopsy and I want to get there early and get a peek at the sale birds. Is anyone else going? This will be my first time, I hope it's better that Fowl Fest. That show was not as large, or as fun as I expected. I don't think I will take the time to go again next year.

I got 1/2 of my nursery coop painted yesterday and it looks soooo cute! I will show some pics when it's complete. It reminds me of a little ginger bread house. I painted it a burnt red color with a carmel color trim & I am thinking about adding dark brown shutters. Choosing paint colors is a tough job!

CCF, (sort of sounds like a rock group from the 70's) I look forward to seeing your coop pictures. I always like seeing what other people are doing and it's a good source of ideas for making my own better.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time at the show. I would love to go but it conflicts with deer season. I realize that Fowlfest is a small show but it's a opportunity to see chickens plus there is the added bonus that you might get to spend a little time with some of us.

You should go to the show! The deer will still be in the forrest on Sunday. I feel really bad for them during hunting season. They have to run around looking for safe ground for weeks on end. If they were all smart, they would plie up in my woods because no one hunts them here. However, the neighbor put his blind right at the edge of my woods not even 2 foot from my property line. He knows we do not hunt and the deer are always in my yard.

Someone killed a deer in my woods about 2 weeks ago and left all the guts there. My dog ate them and puked them up all over my sofa

I was soooo mad, I had to put the sofa in the trash it smelled so bad. I have no problem with people hunting, but get permission and be respectful.
