I don't usually ask this but I am hoping someone can say a prayer for my cousin. A few years back he was in a horrible car accident and he lived but is now paralized and in a wheelchair. Parapaligic(sp)? Anyways, today his blood pressure spiked along with a really bad headache and his Dad rushed him in to ER. They found a blood clot on his brain. Tomorrow the Dr.s hope they can break up the blood clot but they are unsure. Please pray for him and his Doctors and family. Thank you.

I will that the blood clots will break down and be absorbed and have no ill effects and for total restoration. God did a huge work to heal my mom from a ruptured anuerysm and blood clots that formed after the surgery to repair the rupture. I know He can do it! My mom should have died but is now completely healed. Dont give up hope!

Praying for your cousin, this can be resolved, hopefully the doctors will completely successful! My youngest daughter had a blood clot in her brain at the base of her brain stem and the cerebellum, causing a stroke. She was too small (only 3 years old) for the to use a hook to remove it, so they had to go in with a small tube threaded up there and heparin to break up the clot and hopefully not cause a brain bleed. This procedure has only been tried 4 times on children, as a last resort, and these are the only children that have survived this type of stroke out of the 40 that have been reported world wide. Yep, only 40 children world wide have ever had this type of stroke, only 4 have survived, my child being the youngest of both groups. I tell this story to show you how amazing physicians can be, both mortal ones and the our Greatest Physician. Keep hope!

Good morning! Thanks for the info on frostbite. I'm going out in a little bit to clean out the coop (again) and the sheep stall (peeeeeee-ewe!). All of the critters have been spending more time inside, and man-are they stinky! I figured today would be a good day to do it since it will we well above freezing. I can shoo everyone out while I clean. Before I do, though, I'm going to catch Jarhead and give him a thorough exam. I'm a little scared. He's a friendly roo, but he's so darn big! The last time I actually caught hima nd picked him up (to clip his wings), I felt like I was wrestling a wild cat. I finally gave up. I think I'll put one of my old burlap feed sacks to use today. Wrap it around him and tie some baling twine to keep his wings from flapping. I'll post later to let you know how the woman vs rooster story ends up. I'll probably give him one more day of freedom, and then put him in a cage until Spring. That will give my girls plenty of time to recover from him, too. The aprons/saddles I made are working well. You would never know how ugly my little austrolorp was to see her now. She looks so good that I was able to take the saddle off of her. This is the first time I've seen her all full of feathers-she was a mess when I got her. She's actually very pretty now! The other three girls are still a mess, though. I can see some feathers trying to grow back in, but it's happening much more slowly with them. Maybe putting Jarhead away for a while will help them fill out more.

Morning all. I haven't been able to spend much time on here lately. Wanted to let you all know that my son is now officially a sailor in the US Navy. He graduated boot camp two weeks ago and is waiting for his A school classes to start. He will be an ET (electronics technition) when schooling is done. He has already earned one rate increase and is currently an E-2. As I type this he is traveling to downtown Chicago to come home via tran for the holidays. As you can tell his mother and I are extremely proud of him.

From my family to yours have a great holiday season.

Larry
