Hi
I'm getting a couple Blue cochins and a couple Light Brahamas from ooopsie daisy. I think she said she raises buff too. She said they would laying in a month, so babies mid April. Talk to her. Happy Valentines Day Everyone.

Good day everyone. It is so beautiful out today, I just love days like this. I have some of my roos in the house today taking photos and posting them on BYC. I bought a few to many chickens when I first started and decided to sell off my pet quality, and replace with SQ.

I have a really sweet Showgirl roo...I just adore him. He was mad as a snake when I brought him in the house. All he did was complain the entire time. Here are some of his messy photos. He looks like he is having a REALLY BAD hair day lmao.

How about a Valentine Kiss from this doll face

Hi Hillbilly Hen,
I have a trio of LF blue/black cochins, very beautiful birds. Miss Jayne has a matching trio, we got them from the same breeder last spring. Mine are laying - the rooster is black and the hens are blue. Very quiet, docile and fluffy, they get along well with all the other birds, a little slow to mature, but worth the wait. Nothing is funnier than watching that rooster galloping across the yard in his fluffy pantaloons.

DH wanted to know if they are good egg layers. He saw some in a catalogue that I got and he was impressed with the size of the chicken.

So far the cochins have been laying an egg every other day, so for the two of them are only good for about 8 a week. The eggs are large though, very elongated - a light tan color. I personally think they are more eye candy than anything, they are stunning and impressive birds.

Good Evening!

Boy the Olympics has sure been exciting! Great racing

Rachel is home from the church retreat. She had a lot of fun! Cross country skiied for the first time too. Did chores for her tonight. She had a chicken making a weird sneezing noise. didn't take too long to locate which one on the roost. She had a feather up her nose! The poor thing! She didn't make the noise after that!

OOL- I pray that your wife has a quick recovery! When my grandma was alive she had a heart attack. The symptoms are different for women, grandma thought she had the flu. So Grandma and grandpa headed home from Flordia and stopped in Tennessee for the night. At the restaurant grandma finally had chest pains. The best heart hospital in the country was in the town they stopped in. Grandpa rushed her there and the doctors said a few more hours and she would of passed away. A quadurpel by-pass later and a long recoop, Grandma lived a many years til her death 2 years ago.

Opa- I think I can only handle one mean chicken or it might end up dinner! Rachel has 2 roos who are perfect gentlemen. Then the one mean one....

Have a great night everyone! Off to watch some more Olympics!

Sarah
