I have an incubator in the bedroom...but the eggs are moved upstairs into a hatcher to finish.

Even being all the way upstairs, I can hear when a new peep hatches. I can't imagine having them in the same room with me at night.

My knee is doing so good they are afraid I will over do it. I had a 125 degree bend before surgery and should not of reached that for months had it back at 5 weeks. Now I am working on walking more and more before I exhaust myself that is getting better every week all in all they figure I am 4 to 5 months ahead of the game. Thanks for asking.

Vicki can you PM me info on those bunnies I am looking to get 4 to 6 does and a couple of bucks will need to get from more than one source to have a breeding program.

I hope to make it to chicken stock I will have to get on to see what is up with that. Someone mentioned that Opa has a link under his sig line. Will have to check that out. Will also depend on how my knee is doing driving or if I can get someone to go with and help drive.

Hello to the old and new a like. Thanks for all the help your all great when I need info I know where to go.

Well, I don't have muscovy's anymore, but we all have geese! I know Vicky from Cottage Rose has Sebbies, she is on BYC and Mi_Poultry_Lovers list; Vickie Pittman has Sebbies and American Blues, but she might have sold all the blues, not positive. She is on the Mi_Poultry_Lovers list, knows about BYC but doesn't make it here often. I have American Buffs & Blues and Pilgrims arriving tomorrow! I am on both the poultry list and BYC, and most important, our MI thread!!

Hello everyone. If there is anyone in the Lansing area that could help me out I would be forever grateful. I have 5 chicks and 5 ducklings arriving tomorrow and I have everything set up for them EXCEPT feed. My BIL was supposed to give me a small amount of starter feed to get me started as I don't get paid until Tuesday, but he got called out of town for work today! Could anyone spare enough umedicated chick starter to get me through til Tues? Thanks.

It's just gorgeous out there today. I hope you're all enjoying it.

I'm sitting down with a bowl of cauliflower and some veggie dip for a few minutes before heading back out. It never ceases to amaze me how much work there is to be done in the spring no matter how much you try to prepare before winter.

I'm sure Sam is having fun organizing all those chicks! Has to separate them according to breed, or else we'd be having lots of fun on Thursday figuring out what chick is which!

He's probably asking himself right about now what he got himself into!!

I was just thinking that same thing Vickie. I think the wellie chicks aren't due until tomorrow. We are picking ours up in Capac I think. Candled our eggs last friday night and only found 1 clear one out of 18. Not to bad. Gonna have wellies coming out of our ears.
