How old is the girl who killed the frizzle? Just curious.

She's nearly 7. And I'm not sure she killed it, but my gut is screamin' she did.

Oh my...It's been a bad day for the little ones. I'm so sorry to hear about your little Frickin' sometimes a special one comes along and just worms their way right into the family. My heart goes out to your Son.

I am loving this weather!!

So sorry to hear about the chicks and chickens that are missing or died. I would of been so mad if one of my kids friends killed a chicken.

I really like having the turkeys with the chickens I tell kids that the turkeys will get them if they bother them. They are big and scary looking to a little kids. My kids know better, but they don't say anything.

You wouldn't expect an "old rooster" to do anything as common place as to go bald would you?

LOL, good one!

My DH is a biker type, so I refer to his greying hair as his "Chrome Accessories"
He's just starting to match his bike.

The comets we got from you are the funniest chickens I have ever owned! I even tried to have them be actresses, but I cannot figure out how to not have them poo on stage! It was for the musical the Music Man during the pick a little song.

Glad to hear that school is almost done and you will have a break! But sounds like more gray hairs with twins driving! Double the anxiety!

I need hair to turn grey I am bald.

It is worse than I thought on the anxiety level at your house!!!!! Bald is the worst

Well I have good and bad news!!!!!

The good is the 1 month old bantam chick is still alive!

The bad news is we lost it in the hedgerow again!!! Darn thing is tiny black and orange. so it blends in very well. We just looked for it for over a 1/2 hour from where Emily saw it last. No luck. Hope to find it soon. It is so fast too!

Have to go and take Emily to violin lessons and we don't have school done now either!

Oh!!!! I forgot to mention.... Opa, remember that conversation we had about possibly hatching out some of my mutt chicken eggs and raising them as meat birds? Well, I talked DH into it. As soon as I get some duck eggs ready for the bator, looks like I'll have some chick eggs in there, too. This will be an interesting experiment. Keep in mind that this is the woman who said, "I'll never hatch out any chicken eggs."

We found the chick, but never caught it, and lost where it ran to. yes the hedgerow is good protection. 2 old fences and lots of bushes and trees to deal with! The train tracks are on the other side of the hedgerow too though

We are all scraped up too.
