6 magic bunnies huh?

I'll see if I know anyone who would like them.

Roger

Thanks. I will be taking them to the small animal swap on Saturday if I haven't found anyone to take them before then. They are very cute... doesn't anyone want them?

Since I've been gone, I must have missed all the clamoring for my beautiful rooster. Is my mail box full? Guess I have to go back and see all the post just begging me to take my beautiful rooster off my hands!

Let's just make it easy and I'll give the rooster to the next person that posts after me.

Let's see who the lucky person is.

Oh, but Sarah, you posted after me! So, when can I drop beautiful Coppertop off to you? I've been pretty busy helping my son get his new home cleaned and painted so he and his family could move in, but I'll definately make time for you!

Good Evening!

Everyone is locked in the feed trailer for the night! 20 chickens and ducks tucked in for the night. I left the roosters and 2 LF hens with crooked beaks in the coop.

The black tailed jap is getting along good with the two Old English Game hens of Rachel's. She spent most of the day up in the rafters and wandering around lost in her pen.

The 2 holes are covered and 2 live traps set with cat food in them. so we will see what we catch. My only other thought is if it climbed up and through the holes where the roof and wall meets. I will find out soon.

My other concern is for our meat chickens that live in a hoop cage. I am going to purchase on of the poultry fences like Opa's so I have peace of mind....in a few days when it comes!

The hen with the amputated wing seems to be doing great! I let her out of the cat carrier this morning...she had an attitude about being cooped up in that for a few days (and losing her wing for sure)! She is in the coop with the rest of the hens tonight. She looks silly with her duck taped stub.

Best get off to bed as I will getting up early to check on things and let the hens out of the feed trailer (hubby's old race trailer). Hubby is doing the late shift and me the early.

I found a young white bunny out behind a mall once. Took it home and it became a house pet. It wanted to go potty on anything that felt like rabbit wire under it's feet, so it wasn't too hard to figure her out. She was great in the house. I hear you can even potty train them. Not sure I'd want to use the same potty, though....ha

How terrible!
I've been worried about coon tracks we found recently. I picked up one of those used baby monitors at a sale, and put it in the coop, hoping I would hear at night if there was a fracas. But there's often so much static on it I can't stand to leave it on. I wonder if there's a cheap way to set up a web microphone, like a webcam but just the sound.
Hope you catch whatever it was.....

Good Morning All!

I hope you are all doing well...and coping in the heat. Ive got the day off work- going to get the chores done early-and put the sprinkler on for the chickens/ducks.

Ive got lots of paperwork to do today- both work and non-work related. I plan to do that while camped out in front of a fan with a big glass of iced tea.

My new hen is doing well- I feel really bad everytime I look at her though. I sure hope she grows in some feathers soon.

You all have a great day.

Sarah, did you catch anything in your traps? I'm dying to find out.

M2em, do the chickens like the sprinkler? Our chickens take dirt baths and avoid water, they run like crazy to get under the coop whenever it rains. I hope I see that action later today, we need to have a heat-breaker.

HBH, I'm so happy your FIL is improving, good luck re-homing your little bunnies
