But seriously, if you are going through heavier stock (like 1/8" or
heavier) stock, a pilot hole is ok.

We are home from Fowl Fest!!!!

Bummed I didn't get on here for a few days....missed seeing some BYC folks!

Did get to see Babbette, Vicki, and Shelby.

The kids did awesome in showmanship! Gretchen got 2nd in 9 and under, Emily got 4th (by one point!) in 10-12 year olds, and Rachel got 1st in 13-14 year olds.

We only came home with 3 more birds

The weather was great this year! Had a good time and glad to see all the different birds!

Actually, the kids haven't taken pictures of them yet! They are all settled in though

I finally bought the good plastic feeders and waterers that clip on to the cages. I cannot believe I have procrastinated for so long! No more wasted feed or spilled water! Yeah!!!!

Off to High School Youth Group at church....this is new for us with Rachel being a freshman...I don't like having to go from 6-8pm on Sunday for the high school sunday school classes....I am really not going to like it this winter!!!!

Ya, I wish

Sorry. My arms are sore from sawing wood with a hand saw (I'm deathly afraid of electric saws and I like having fingers). One would think something entitled "self-tapping" would go in a bit easier!

Trailer's looking good though. I'll have to ppost pics in the livestock section. Got all the mats in and fitted, boards on the sides up. Just have to do the door now and put some sealer on the wood while this dry spell holds.

I took this pic for Kim.

This happens every day. Opie and Sadie are so polite (didn't know ducks could do it!) that when I put something special in the feeder, they will stand there until the babies are done, then step in when they walk away. No kidding!

Today was pea day. It's my most hated vegetable ever, but all the animals here love them like they're candy!

It was probably because he was wet. They had all been splashing each other in the pond before this pic. They are all very close now. Opie, Sadie and Willie are very protective of the little girls. I couldn't ask for a better flock of ducks!!!

Good Morning! What a beautiful week end we had! I just saw Vicky and Babbett at Fowlfest. Was looking for others, but missed anyone else that was there. Probably cuz I was on the phone with my son trying to work out how to get the grand kids since his ex dropped them off at his doorstep and he had tickets to the big MSU/UM game!

Krisrose got a goose. I went home empty handed. I hardly got to see the birds, tho. My brother and sister in law came in for a visit from Chicago. They stopped in at Fowlfest and were amazed at all the different chickens. Those city folk don't know much!

They spent the rest of the day at Bronners and Krisrose and I had to take her new goose home and meet up with my grandkids. It turned out to be a fun day with them. Hope you all enjoy today, looks like another beautiful day!
