Rabbits... we raised them for meat, pets and 4-H years ago when my kids were younger. We had up to 80 at one time. I handled them from the time they were born and just could not bring myself to eat them. However my sister keeps saying she would like some rabbit meat. Good luck!

Cricket, so sorry for your loss, that really stinks! I will keep my eyes open for more little ducks for you. Definitely keep your others locked up, because once they know they are there, they will be back!

Keyt, have you tried a floating heater? We use that in our water tank, works pretty well, keeps the ducks and geese happy! You will find them at places like TSC or Family Farm and Home near the Livestock supplies. Ours is a big blue plastic one, just floats around the tank, nothing to burn the ducks on. I like it much better for them then the other wire kind that they can either burn them selves or get caught up in.

Keyt, don't leave just cuz someone offered an opinon. We all have our own. But, if you post something like I hate the holidays, well, people are gonna jump in and give their opinions. So many of us have gone thru very difficult times, but we make the best of things, and go on to live our lives no matter what did us in as kids. Just be aware if you give an opinion, someone is gonna give theirs. Nothing personal against you!
Been having a hawk hang around alot with a fork and spoon in its claws picking out its chicken dinner! Dont' know what the neighbors are thinking, this crazy woman running around the house screaming "Go away, you b#$%*#%! This hawk just flies from tree to tree yelling "HaHa, you can't catch me" Sure wish I had a gun, and the nerve to shoot a living thing. So far, I've been lucky, knock on wood. When I let them out, I have worn a path between the back door and front door, checking out the trees and poles. I'm getting my walk in just walking back and forth all day. Nothing else gets done, of course. But the chickens were happpy taking dust baths and eating grass. That's all that matters.

It's gloomy out there! But warmer!

That has absolutely nothing to do with it! First of all, I am happier than I have ever been. I even stated that this Thanksgiving was the best yet because the only family member I had here was my daughter. She gets treated like junk by our family too.

I don't have to over-decorate my home, light it up with a bunch of stupid lights or play a bunch of sappy xmas music to be happy. I'm not a fake person by any means.

There. That's all I'm going to say on the issue and I'd appreciate it if anyone has an objection, take it privately. This forum is not the place for this to keep going on!! This is NOT high school!!
