Everyone getting ready for the bad weather coming this way?

We're supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow w/ 40 MPH winds. Local radio station said "Do NOT go anywhere Sunday."

Not a good sign

Saginaw's only supposed to get 3-4 inches, so I guess it won't be as bad to the south

I got four duck eggs today.
And my favorite old chicken, our original chicken, Carmen, has died. I found her snuggled in the nest box inside the coop. Looked like she was asleep.

Sometimes you can get insulation from the ReStore in Flint (Habitat for Humanity), chunks of styrofoam, etc. Be advised that chickens LOVE foam insulation (and will eat the fiberglass stuff, too), so you need to cover it in some way. You need LOTS of ventilation at the top.
