Hi all,

Haven't been on in awhile, been busy.

Just wanted to vent because the 4 of the 5 Gold-laced Wyandottes I got from TSC marked "pullets" all are displaying pointy tail-feathers and I think they are cockerels.

If you can why don't you post pictures so maybe we can help you figure out what they are.

One issue I have with buy chicks from feed stores or farm supply stores is that I've seen kids take birds from one spot and then put it back in another one. I have also been in a small feed store and watched them take all the chicks from the hatchery boxes and place them in a empty water trough. They then read the packing information and discovered that the chicks had arrived segregated by breed and sex. They didn't seem to think mixing them was a issue yet they had no clue as to what was what.

Our TSC has steel panels around their chick tanks. Also, the gal who worked there said that those chicks arrived in a box marked "pullets" unless someone mislabeled the box at the hatchery.

Hi- I'm looking for a few Standard Polish hens & a roo (well my mom wants them- but is not online)

prefer a blue w/ white cap Rooster, or a Black w/ white cap otherwise.

As far as hens go- nice marked splashed, or would consider other colors on hens (she has some colors and is looking for other colors)

Straight or nice frizzle feathered.

Will be at ChickenStock and can meet there if needed- otherwise I'm in Lansing, and she is in the Chelsea/Ann Arbor area- so depending on where you are- one of us could come to you.

Please contact me at [email protected] I'm Courtney

Or call Mom at 734 498 3924 she is Linda

I purchased 6 EE pullets from TSC and one of them is obviously a bantam, probably an Old English. They all looked exactly alike but I didn't pick them I had the guy that worked there pick them for me. But I guess it was meant to be because now that bantam is taking care of my only surviving chick that I hatched.

Eeyore, welcome to the Michigan thread. I'm sure we will enjoy reading your posts, ie; like the one that says you'll be coming to Chickenstock. Lots of nice folks are coming.

Finally a day of sunshine!

We'll be working hard on getting caught up on chores, then working hard on trying to stand back up after we sit down.

Welcome eeyore! Can't help you out with Polish, there used to be a guy on here from New Boston area that had beautiful Polish, but I don't think he's posted lately. You could try the search function and see what comes up. Good luck!
