Good Morning All- what the heck is this cold weather here? I am so frustrated. It was NICE for two days. I have eggs being delivered today....turken eggs. ANd what does the weather say? SIX degrees...windchill of ten below...snow out there. Weather for this weekend 45 degrees.

I think I get it. Just freeze when Kims eggs are enroute.

My little Serama even laid an egg yesterday. *sigh*

Can't believe how cold it got again. My word, thought my fingers would fall off. Girls are staying in today. Gots to get ready to go to Lansing and hang out with my grand kids. At least there isn't a blizzard out there. It seems every Wed there's a blizzard and I've got to get to Lansing. Won't know how to drive without the roads being snow driven. Have a good day all and stay warm.

I did'nt clean out Bubba's run this morning. Just fed everybody and run back to the house! The girls are in and I threw a can of scratch and a bag of apples down on their shavings for some winter time fun. Toes are sill cold from walking through the parking lot to work!! And I've been here almost a half hour

Good morning everyone. Our answer to the cold was to start getting out the seed trays for starting some vegetables and herbs. We spent last night putting together the temporary shelving unit that holds them in our big southern window till they are ready to go out. It's kind of like...if we sprout it the sun will come...thinking. We also spent a few hours yesterday making seed tape and mats for when the snow melts. At least we are being proactive. My chickens have decided that spring is around the corner regardless of what the darn groundhog says. Egg production has doubled from Jan 1st to Feb 1st...now what to do with all those eggs?

I share your thoughts, Opa!! Yes, Kris, Dick is mostly home. Has to run to GB office for a bit this morning, but other than that, he'll be home. And, he'll feed the hens their treat later. What's up?

Mornin' All-
I got DH to water the girls this morning, I bribed him with homemade sourdough bread!
Looking forward to a great day! I don't think anyone is sick today! Woo Hoo! Of course 3 of my six daycare kids are on antibiotics.
