When I was a kid we visited my aunt Mary and Uncle Dan in Mexico. THey were having a big party for the New Year. My aunt told me to do look at what the cook had in the pot... it was a boar's head.... they make a punch from it! So, it could serve 2 purposes, MJ!

Zoo- A co-worker and her daughter made Miss Prissy's incubator and I gave them 2 doz eggs to test it out. Though that they would be lucky to hatch one egg. Boy was I wrong. Hatch 18!! Bummer- I was going to get Wheaton Marens and/or splash Jersey Giants for the real run

Steve, i am so ordering that cookbook for chickensnatcher. when i cooked that goose, i was stripping the carcass. the 'oysters' were inside. she asks, "Can you eat those?" i gave her one. she popped it in her mouth like it was a Hershey bar or something. she said it tasted like lemon. (i stuffed the cavity with fruit.) she asked for the other one and downed it. ack. she's not right. she gets that from me though.

Wow, you guys are too much! Leave the board for a while and miss all the goodies. We had a pig roast a few years back, but we didn't do anything with the head. Hmmm maybe we should have? We bought the pig from a local farmer, and the rest was up to us. He let us use his roaster too.

Oh, and Steve - Here ya go

My grandpa was a pig farmer mom talks about roasting the tails and eating them yak. My brother is older and remembers grandpa he would sit and eat head cheese with him. Sure am glad I was a picky eater as a kid!

How about trading it for a couple of eggs?

The cool thing about homemade vanilla is, if you keep topping it off with the vodka, you will have vanilla for up to 7 years... the beans last that long...So, even though there is an initial cost for the beans, they pay for themselves many times over.

Reminds me of the Baldwin Sister's papa's "recipe"....
