You are so very welcome! Like I said before, I'd rather give them to a BYCer who will appreciate them instead of sell them to a local who doesn't! Hope they are settling in well and that you have a wonderful time at Chickstock with your grand daughter!

we got home a little after 6 pm, Grandpa had to head out with the child to get her home but she's coming back. I bought 2 jersey giants, just babies, they need the hutch and heat lamp for awhile yet.
The Chanty's were making alot of noise about dark. I went out and they were all ganged up by the door so I lifted each one to the loft. Probably will take a few days till they realize this is home now and settle down.

I was about 30 minutes late in my delivery of the Orps to Millington cuz I went THRU Flint instead of heading north on I-75. I didn't know there was a stop light on every single corner thru that town and I'll never do it again. Luckily she waited till I got to our meeting point and she got her babies. They were perfectly quiet all the way home, UNlike the Chanty's, heeheehee.

It was a great day. But Im glad it's over now too.

What a great idea. I'll even go first. Smoking a single chicken Place a 5-6 lbs whole chicken in a 1 gallon size ziplock bag. Make a brine solution consisiting of 1/2 cup kosher salt, 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, 2 quarts of cold water. Pour in bag with chicken, seal, refrigerate overnight. Remove from brine and lightly rinse. Allow chicken to drip dry. Place chicken between 1st and 2nd fingers and then deciding which end to place against your lips and which end to light is a personal decision.

I bought 2 for Aric's birthday plus have the extra large sumo wrestling looking rooster from Uncle Bubba and love them all!

I'm really bummed I didn't get to see that huge rooster Keyt, please take some pictures so I can see him? You know there were lots of kids running around and my drawing gift was one of those flat dog toys with no stuffing in it. Probably looked like a fun thing to play with. No problems, my dogs don't even know they're missing it! Also want to thank you and Aric for watching out for my stuff when I was mingling and getting lunch and special thanks to Aric for hauling my dog crate and roos out of my car for me!

Oh trust me, every time I turned around Aric wanted me to take pics of it. All my pics are loaded on fb and I'm trying to see if there's an easier way to load them on here.

Was it one of those stuffed chicken toys? I saw one on the ground at one point - Maybe it fell out?

Really? Here I was thinking the worst and it just fell out of my purse! Thanks for letting me know Nigellas! I hope someone picked it up and took it home then.

My gr-dau held my two new Jersey's all the way home. They are gonna miss her when she leaves.

I'm thinking many of us women are hearing how we brought too much home lol

Aric said on the way home "I'm sure many women will be in trouble tonight and their other halves will wish they had gone along. Then again, I did and by the time I noticed you had walked away, you were walking back with something else!"

All it took after that was to say GANDALF. OMG, I had no idea a man could be so obsessed with a rooster.

He's taking a nap now but I came up with a brilliant idea. Those BLRW roos that have been driving me insane for months now are in general population, one with the chickens, one with the ducks. Gandalf isn't NEAR as noisy as those BLRW boys so, if I put one of them in the barn and Gandalf out with the hens, then at least until Gandalf's private run is built (yes, private with his own handpicked ladies...and Aric thinks I'm obsessed with my ducks??? lol) then I won't have to listen to him!!!

My 25 ducks don't make near as much noise as those 3 HUGE roosters!!! But unfortunately if i want those 25 ducks I have to listen to the roosters lol. Gandalf is pretty cool though. Now off to post pics....

!!

Oh its love...Kayla is sound asleep on the bathroom floor ( I refuse to let her take it to her room), with her comforter..and Penelope goose is tucked in next to her- thankfully on a pee pad. Tiffany has forgotten that she is fifteen, and is telling me, "Mom this is the first night in my bunnys whole life that it has had to sleep outside..." : "Cant I bring it in?" "Just for tonight..???" *pouty face*
