How did you do at the rabbit show?

Did you sell the other bunny? My coworker is superduper in love with "Nestor". She told me she wanted the other one. Actually she told me she wanted ours and I told her you had another one that didnt sell. She said, "Why didnt you get it for me?" I told her I left my psychic powers at home that day.

Do you use water bottles with the rabbits? My daughter checked his water bottle and it was still full- seems to be working fine, because we checked that as well...put a water bowl down and he drank like he was sooo sooo thirsty. Tiffany felt really bad. I told her to set a bowl of water under the bottle until he figures out what to do.

Bunny yogurt drops are a no-go. lol. She wants to find something to give as a treat during their play time. He doesnt like those. She bought a bunny brush, and set the expen up in the yard, sits with him out there and they are bonded nicely.

He feels more comfortable with her holding him than me, for sure. I picked him up to show my husband

and the bunny was so scared. Doesnt do that when Tiff picks him up.

Kayla named the little show-girl Shmoo.

Does anyone remember Shmoo?

YES! I still have him...for now. I am planning a trip to the meat man and was hoping to find hima home before then. If they're interested have them give me a call 517-694-9023.
I have bottles on most of mine but you can use a bowl...they like that in the summer.

In the winter is the only time I suggest a bottle unless they are in a building where it won't freeze.

I did very well at the show! It was saturday and sunday (2 shows each day). A couple exhibitors came in all the way from NJ so I had a great turnout of hares at the show...which his hard to get because they are such a rare breed. I won Best of Breed in all 4 shows this weekend and Best opposite sex in 3 of the 4 shows!

Mom would it help to add an aerator to your pond? I know that sometimes they crash because all the oxygen in the water gets used up and then it all gets really icky fast. I was thinking along the lines of an air bubbler, or some big ponds use water jets to help aerate the water also.

Yeah, nothing like waking up in the morning to the sound of horse hooves. Clopping UP the driveway. And running outside in bathrobe and barn boots.

Congratulations Jen, would love to see your hares someday, maybe when I am down in the Lansing area again.

I want a pond but hearing all the pond troubles, maybe I will rethink that idea...
On the plus side I love having chickens, now if only hubby would let get that mini cow and a goat or 3 and maybe some free range rabbits... and...
I should have married a farm boy UG..

My Frizzle did this for about a week after I took her eggs away. I think she was just telling off the world, and letting everyone know that she has rejoined the flock. lol.
Good luck with her-
I also had a turken that decided to be a noisy bird, and she never stopped. I had to rehome her.

We decided to rehome her. She's been noisy long enough that we know the neighbors won't tolerate much more.

We can hardly stand it anymore ourselves.
Our friend has chickens so she won't be lonely, and he has a larger chunk of property so the neighbors aren't as close as they are here.
