I'm getting prepared! I already have a jugs of water frozen in the freezer. I plan on refreshing the water supply daily and coming home for lunch on the really hot days to give the girls frozen treats. I am debating freezing a big blocks of ice with corn in them.....give them something cool to chip away at during those hot days.

That and some prayer.

Just filly 29 empty Gatorade bottles with water and a little bit of Pedialyte and stuck them in the freezer. Picked up some popsicles and frosty paws, so both fridge's freezers are totally full.

Me on the other hand isn't doing so well and it's not because it's hot. Not sure if it's my shunt, my hydrocephalus or something I don't know about. I can't stay awake (usually a sign of shunt malfunction), my stomach has been upset and I can't walk well. So to keep myself awake and keep my mind off of feeling like I'm gonna collapse, I'm setting up a facebook page for my photography business. Hopefully it gets me some work soon.

One good method for keeping birds cool is to set up a hose spraying a very fine mist. Set it where the birds have the option wether of not to stand under it. It will be noticeably cooler near the mister. For those of you who are worried about your birds while you are at work it might be something to consider.

I started doing that on the really hot days and they will go stand in the mist for a few minutes then go settle back down for a while, my mister is a hose a puppy decided to chew on and I capped the end, lol.

Last day of class is Saturday. Final exam, turn in collections, wrap up 3 weeks of collections and identifications.

Yet I'm most concerned with my chicken/dog/cat babysitters.

I was woken up this morning to a lot of cackling outside, so I ran out there to see what was going on. It was my guinea in the cage and I could hear another one in the corn field, so I started calling for it and it came running to me.

We were both happy to see each other. I open the pin and he jumped right in. Two males are home now, I don't know where my hens are, but I have two of them back.

Tsparrow - Woot!! Thats Awesome!

Good Morning everyone. I am pondering what I am going to try to get accomplished today. I need to do some rearranging of the coop. The girls have taken to roosting on top of or in the nest boxes.

My one stinker is still in jail and whimpers pittifully every time I pass by the garage heh heh.... I do feel like a tyrant but the girls are much calmer and nicer now that she isn't with them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
